One question all couples ask is about tipping their destination wedding vendors. Tipping should always be about showing gratitude for a job well done and excellent service. Tips should be in response to the level of service you received, so the numbers we're about to share are a bit subjective. But, we're here to provide some guidance, or a reference point, on tipping for your big day. 

Tipping Your Destination Wedding Vendors

Makeup Artist/Hair Stylist - 10%
Photographer - $100
Videographer - $100
Florist - Between $50-$100 - depending on the extent of services provided
DJ - $100
Officiant - $50

Other Staff to Consider Tipping

Wedding Coordinator - $100
Waitstaff - $100-$200 depending on size of staff

When's the Best Time to Tip?

The best time to tip is near the end of the night. We recommend splitting your tip cash into separate envelopes and dedicating someone you trust to manage and disperse the tip money. While you should make every effort to thank the vendor in person before they leave, they understand that you might be a little busy with guests.
