That’s exactly why working with Romance Travel Group makes all the difference. We know these resorts inside and out! We know which ones are a dream to work with (and which ones aren’t), who offers the best group perks, and where the wedding packages really shine.

After just one call, we’ll create a personalized list of resorts chosen just for you. Think of us as your resort matchmakers!

Expert tip

When you’re choosing a resort, don’t get caught up in packages or venues right away. Start by focusing on the resort itself. Imagine yourself there with your guests. Do you love the pools? Are the rooms spacious and comfortable? How’s the beach? Are there plenty of restaurants to keep everyone happy? The wedding details can come later! First, let’s find the resort that feels right for a dream vacation.

Consider these things...

Destination

Travel time matters. If your guests only have a few days, flying them halfway around the world won’t work. For example, a Hawaii wedding may sound amazing, but a 9-hour flight for just three nights isn’t ideal. The more remote islands can also require multiple layovers, and sometimes even overnight stops.

Also, every guest will need a passport. Most resorts require the couple and witnesses to arrive at least three full days before the wedding. That’s why we recommend the destinations with the best selection of all-inclusives: Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic!

Location

Within your chosen destination, location is key. After a long flight, very few people want to take a two-hour drive to the resort. Most couples prefer to keep the transfer under an hour.

Think about the vibe you want! Do you want to be in the lively hotel zone, close to nightlife and shopping? Or do you prefer a quieter beach neighborhood with more privacy? It’s also worth considering what your guests will enjoy most.

Budget

Set a budget that feels reasonable for your guests. On average, three-night packages start at around $1200 per person, including airfare, hotel, transfers, meals, drinks, tips, and taxes. Just keep in mind, the experience often matches the price.

Atmosphere

The energy of the resort sets the tone for your entire wedding week. Does the property feel inviting? Do the pools, rooms, and restaurants match your style? Is the beach exactly what you pictured? Pay attention to how the overall atmosphere makes you feel!

Adults-only or family-friendly

This one can be tricky. Maybe you’re dreaming of an adults-only resort, but you’ve got a couple of kids in the family. Here’s the deal: even one child means you’ll need a family-friendly resort. Adult-only properties are strictly 18 and over!

Our best advice? Choose what you really want. It’s your wedding! If having kids splashing in the pool doesn’t match your vision, it’s okay to go adults-only. And if you need family-friendly, don’t worry—we know plenty of properties that welcome kids without feeling “kiddie.”

Trust the experts

This is where we come in! Choosing the right resort is often the hardest part, but once that decision is made, everything else, packages, venues, and all the other big and little details, falls into place beautifully.
