Jessica always dreamed of getting married with her feet in the sand, and Antonio (who’s from Mexico) wanted to return to Mexico for their wedding, so Puerto Vallarta was the perfect place to bring both dreams together. They loved that they could incorporate his culture in a meaningful way while also turning the celebration into a vacation with friends and family.
When it came to choosing the resort, Romance Travel Group helped narrow down the options based on what mattered most to them, like a sandy beach (no pebbles!) and great food. They ultimately chose Hyatt Ziva because it felt more family-friendly for the kids on their guest list, and even though it felt like a leap of faith, they said it ended up being the perfect choice.
Jessica shared that one of the biggest fears of planning a destination wedding is worrying guests might cancel, weather might change everything, or something unpredictable could happen, but she realized most fears are irrational, and once you’re realistic about your guest list, everything works out (plus guests are excited because they get a vacation too!).
Their wedding coordinator Albani was described as amazing and super responsive, replying within 24 hours and delivering everything exactly as planned. Their day included a beachfront ceremony, a mariachi-filled cocktail hour on the sand (one of the biggest highlights!), and a rooftop penthouse reception where the party energy was unforgettable.
