Romance Travel Group was honored with four major awards from Lomas Hospitality during its recent awards celebration in Mexico, recognizing RTG for its destination wedding sales, partnership, and longstanding relationship with the Lomas organization.
Romance Travel Group received:
- Top Lomas Travel Producer
- Top Wedding Producer
- Pearl Award, the highest level of sales recognition
- Lomas Legacy Award, the highest overall honor presented during the evening
While each award was incredibly meaningful, the Lomas Legacy Award was an especially unexpected honor.
During the presentation, the Legacy Award was described as recognizing qualities including “loyalty, vision, energy, creativity,” with Lomas calling it the “true MVP of the night.”
For Romance Travel Group founder Shelli Nornes, the recognition represents much more than sales.
“I am incredibly grateful and humbled by these awards, but none of this happens because of one person,” said Nornes. “I have an amazing team at Romance Travel Group, and every wedding we sell, every couple we care for, every problem we solve and every relationship we build is a team effort. I may have been the one accepting the awards, but they belong to all of us.”

Romance Travel Group has specialized exclusively in destination weddings for nearly three decades, helping couples plan weddings throughout Mexico and the Caribbean.
