Why spend nearly $40,000 on a traditional wedding when you can plan a unique and intimate destination wedding for under $10,000? Here are seven smart tips to help you keep your budget in check without sacrificing any of the fun or flair.

Go All-Inclusive

For the best value, we always recommend going all-inclusive. With meals, drinks, entertainment, airport shuttles, and taxes included, guests know exactly what to expect and can plan their budgets with ease. For wedding groups, private dinners and events also come at a much lower cost. The convenience factor is huge too—this is by far the easiest way to travel!

Pick Off-Season

The most affordable rates are during off-season in September and October. Resorts are less crowded, which means more open pool chairs and quieter spaces for your group. November and early December can also be great times, as long as you avoid the major holidays when rates skyrocket.

Choose a Simple Setting

One of the best parts of a destination wedding is the natural beauty that surrounds you. Palm trees, ocean views, and sandy beaches set the perfect stage without expensive décor. Sometimes less really is more, and your photos will be stunning!

Bring Your Own Vendors

If you have a photographer friend, a hairstylist BFF, or even a DJ in your circle, you may be able to bring them along. As long as they are staying at the resort for at least three nights, many properties won't charge extra outside vendor fees. We can even help you negotiate their travel so it works for everyone.

Free Wedding Package

Many resorts offer complimentary wedding packages that include everything you need for your ceremony. Some even provide upgraded packages with more than you could ever use. Start with the basics, then add extras where they matter most to you.

Honeymoon Split-Stay

Combine your wedding and honeymoon to save big. Most couples stay at the wedding resort for 5–6 nights with their guests, then move to a new resort for 3–4 nights of honeymoon bliss. This way, you enjoy two experiences while paying for airfare only once.

Use a Destination Wedding Planner

And finally, lean on the experts. A destination wedding travel specialist (that's us!) knows the resorts, perks, and packages inside and out. We'll guide you toward the options that make the most sense for your group and budget. You'll be glad you had someone on your side.
