7.) Your Ceremony Type

A legal ceremony gives you a marriage certificate from your destination and is recognized at home. It often involves extra paperwork, added fees, and sometimes even blood tests! A symbolic ceremony has no legal steps and makes up about 80 percent of destination weddings. Many couples handle the legal part with their clergy or courthouse before they travel.
