We recently sat down with one of Romance Travel Group's top agents, Tiffani Inserra, to talk travel. Tiffani's first-hand experience with destination weddings and her vast knowledge of resorts and locations make her invaluable to anyone planning a destination wedding or vacation. Her down-to-earth and friendly personality instantly put couples at ease, and her dedication to service is second to none. Here's what Tiffani had to say:
How did you get into the travel industry?
I was a destination bride and Shelli was my travel agent. After the wedding we always remained in contact. I would send her referrals anytime I met a bride would was interested in a destination wedding. I was about 6 months pregnant and being forced out of my corporate job when Shelli emailed me and asked me to join her team. The rest is history!
What type of travel do you most love to plan?
Weddings! I love getting to know the couple’s love story and meeting all the important people in their lives.
What sets you apart from all the other agents and websites?
In my opinion there are 2 things that set me apart from other agents:
1) I take the time to really get to know my clients. My wedding couples and I become friends. I often get pictures of bridal dresses and asked for advice on decor and photography. I am that person they can discuss wedding things with 24/7 without feeling guilty. My clients are more than just a number to me, they are my friends!
2) I was a destination bride myself so I can relate to all the feelings my couples have. I know firsthand the stresses of choosing the perfect resort and the obligation you feel to make sure everyone has a great trip. I remember trying to find the perfect photographer and how stressful it was trying to plan a wedding from so far away. Those experiences help me to help my couples.
What is your favorite tropical destination or resort?
I have different favorite resorts for different types of travel. My favorite resort for any type of romance travel, hands down, is El Dorado Casitas Royale in Mexico. This resort exudes romance and intimacy. The little huts with palapa roofs are so unique and the food and service are top notch. Karisma just hit the nail on the head with this property.
What’s on your travel bucket list?
What is your favorite travel memory?
There are so many! It is hard to choose just one because they are all so different. My first would have to be my destination wedding in Cancun! It was such an amazing experience to be away with 60 of our closest friends and family and to watch everyone get to know each other. It was the best week of my life! My second would have to be our honeymoon in Mykonos. The resort was this phenomenal boutique resort built on a mountainside. The views were incredible! Mykonos has so much to offer. Beautiful resorts, lots of great restaurants and beautiful sunsets. My third favorite would have to be the South African Safari. Being up close and personal with these majestic creatures was just incredible! I would love to do it again when my daughter is a little older. It was a beautiful experience!
